About our Guest
Procopio business attorney William W. Eigner has been called the “go-to guy” for emerging businesses and those providing capital to them. A partner at Procopio, a 140-attorney firm with offices in San Diego, Menlo Park and Austin, Eigner’s practice emphasizes M&A, venture capital, angel financing, seed capital, and the financing, governing, operating, contracting, buying, selling and merging of growing technology, life science and other businesses.
Eigner is an accomplished writer and lecturer on how emerging companies can advance to the next level by using their equity incentive plans to recruit and motivate talented directors and advisors and by skillfully negotiating their financing and M&A deals.
Eigner graduated from Stanford University in 1981 and then served as a United States Supreme Court Judicial Intern. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1986 and has practiced with Procopio since 1989. Eigner serves as a director of FHOOSH, Inc., San Diego Venture Group and CommNexus and serves on a number of boards of advisors. Eigner spent nearly ten years on the board of The Mundoval Fund (MUNDX), a publicly traded global value-oriented mutual fund.
